Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Popular Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter flying near a well-attended coastal coastline suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and crashing into a row of palm groves as beachgoers watched.
Recordings shared online depict the chopper commencing to spiral near the shoreline then falling towards the edge of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palms and a steps adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
Emergency responders said five people were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the road were harmed. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.
